"In the goodness of time, all peoples will come to live together in a peace guaranteed by the binding force of mutual respect and love."

Dwight D Eisenhower was born 1890 and died in 1969.   He was 5 star general in World War II. He was president  from 1953 to 1961.  When he said this quote during the Cold War when Russia had nuclear weapons and atomic weapons and were threatening to use them.

This man is very interesting to me because he was a 5 star war general in WW II. My great grandmother was in the French underground and and my great grandfather was a American G.I.  They lived in "a peace guaranteed by the binding force of mutual respect and love" like the quotation said.

Alice  Walker:I particularly liked the way you were able to identify with Dwight Eisenhower. History has been created by our families even though we often don't realize it. Great Job!
Mrs. Luce:Nice job, Mike! It is neat that you were able to make a connection to this famous President and General.
